Boulevard 7 leaving

Using Boulevard right now for EMR and TouchMD for photos and Podium for text/phone and CRM — would be saving $500 a month if I use Podium EMR and get rid of Boulevard and TouchMD.

I see so many posts of people asking and recommending systems. I'm coming off AR and now Boulevard, looking at what's next. It's impossible to do charting, labs, scripts and marketing all running through one system. The bill stacks… feeling frustrated.

Inside that single thread, three more practices

Started with AR and moved to Boulevard — HUGE MISTAKE — just converted to Decoda! Happy thus far!

I left Boulevard as well. Podium has been AMAZING!

I had boulevard, tried optimantra and nothing compared to prospyr.

A fourth said she would move from Boulevard but rejected the alternative on interface quality: “I just really hate how outdated it looks and possibly functions.”

The onboarding problem. A Boulevard customer recommending the product added this unprompted:

Boulevard is great and includes all of what you're looking for. Onboarding does take approx 8 weeks, only downside I've experienced.

Moxie 4 leaving

The objection is structural, not incidental — Moxie charges a percentage of revenue.

Has anyone used a business like Moxie to help run your medspa? They charge 8–9% of your revenue, is that crazy? Are there any other businesses out there that are helpful in growing but don't charge such radical prices?

Replies in that thread named Fresh Clinics (“similar to Moxie but way less fees”) and GlossGenius (“flat fee and no surprises”) as the cheaper alternatives.

I'm thinking of possibly walking away from moxie and doing everything on my own. What systems do you use? Accounting, booking, emr, etc!

Two more in that thread

It's hard to even talk to a real person with them. Absolutely horrible company. Can't wait to cut ties.

I very happily stepped away from Moxie and joined Just Glo Network. I have been muuuuch happier.

Aesthetic Record 4 leaving

EMR decision for MedSpa, does anyone know of a good one for a small business? I've heard and read that Aesthetic Record sucks with so many constant updates and losing client data during those updates!

Definitely not aesthetic record 👎 it's soooo slow and glitch's all the time

Two further practices in the 73-comment thread confirmed they had moved off AR.

Zenoti 1 leaving

Looking for recommendations for a booking system. We are currently with Zenoti and honestly… I officially exhausted all my patience. The constant little configuration issues, adjustments, and setup details take way too much time.

Acuity 1 leaving

Looking into switching booking systems from Acuity. I've loved it but there's been issues since they've been bought out by squarespace.

PatientNow 1 leaving

DO NOT sign up with patient now. They're TERRIBLE. They promise all these things, force and rush you to sign a contract… I've been paying $300 a month for a software I never rolled out because of how crappy it is. PatientNow STEER CLEAR.

We have been using Podium for the last 4–5 months and we love it! They switched everything over to their system at no cost.

The three pricing flashpoints

  1. Flashpoint 01

    Revenue-share pricing is under attack

Moxie's 8–9% of top line generated two threads and roughly 50 comments. Owners are running the numbers publicly and rejecting the model.

One defender noted “9% is standard, Portrait charges the same” — which reframes it as a category problem, not a Moxie problem.

  2. Flashpoint 02

Cost stacking is the Boulevard story

Practices aren't leaving over one bill. They're leaving because Boulevard plus TouchMD plus a CRM plus text/phone adds up, and a single consolidated vendor undercuts the stack.

The number that moved one practice: $500 a month.

  3. Flashpoint 03

Onboarding length is a live objection

Eight weeks was named publicly by a satisfied Boulevard customer as the product's one downside — in a thread where a prospect was choosing between vendors.

Named but unmeasured

Vendors mentioned in these threads without enough volume to score:

What this is and isn't

This covers two public Facebook groups. It is not the whole market, and the sample is small — sixteen practices over six weeks.

The part that matters It is, as far as we know, the only place this has been compiled at all. Vendors in this category currently have no visibility into these conversations. Every practice above named itself, named its current vendor, and said publicly that it was leaving.

Seven practices left Boulevard in public. Boulevard never saw one of those posts.

If your product is in these threads, we send you the mentions as they appear — with the practice, the quote and the link.
